I will be starting to decorate our Christmas tree tomorrow! It feels like just yesterday I was writing my intensions for the year. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. There is just something about twinkling lights and Christmas trees that is so magical. I have yet to take out my decor for this year because I really wanted to make it a point to enjoy fall.
This year I really want my focus to be simplicity. There was just so much that went on this year that I am kind of looking forward to keeping things simple and classic. I want to be very careful with saying I will keep things simple for Christmas because that just sounds like a challenge on it's own but let's see what I come up with.
I am very excited to announce that I am offering Christmas decorating services this season! If you are trying to get your house ready for the holidays and you need some help, feel free to reach out to me for either an email design consultation for ideas or for a Christmas decorating consultation! If you are interested in learning more about my Christmas decorating services, feel free to send me an email or send me a direct message through Instagram.
Below are a few pictures of my tree from last year along with my tips on how I create what I consider a beautiful Christmas tree.
- Use ribbon to weave in and out of the tree. You can use various kinds to give the tree more character or you can use the same ribbon throughout the tree.
- Incorporate various size ornaments to keep things interesting.
- Don't be afraid to use items that are considered to be unconventional in your tree to make it your own.
- Use Christmas picks to make your tree come to life. There are a variety of shapes and sizes to choose from. Choose something that brings out your trees' decor elements.
Hope this holiday season is filled with love!
